This site is still under Heavy Construction but I would like to share what the Online Investment Corner plans to offer in the near future.
In this day and age, Online Investing has become a major part of the financial world. Its a powerful tool that has made investing both easier and all the more dangerous. So many times do we see commercials, banners, and ads showing us how easy it is to invest Online. Yet They don't express the dangers it can and does bring. ANY and ALL investing, whether it be online or through a broker is dangerous without Good Old Fashion RESEARCH.
But where do you start? Where do you find the information that leads you in the right direction?
In the time I've spent looking at site that "inform" on Online Investing, they tend to be overbearing and complex. Showing you charts and articles of which you have no idea what they are talking about.
Here at the Online Investment Corner, I plan to start at the beginning. I want to help lead other people, much like myself, to places and resources that allow us to get a better understanding of what all the TERMS mean. I also want to convey the fact that I AM VERY MUCH A BEGINNER at online investing, which is why I plan to present this site.
Here are a few things that the Online Investment Corner plans to present to its visitor.
References to books, dictionaries, articles which will teach and better inform the BEGINNING INVESTORS. All of which I have read. I will not refer anyone to information that I've not read myself. Just doesn't seem right.
Ground work basics on ANY and ALL types of securities. STOCKS, BONDS, MUTUAL FUNDS, IRA's, 401K, ETC... If you can invest in it, We plan to offer information on it. It should be known that information on these securities does not mean opinions or reviews of "certain" stocks or funds...at least not any time soon. Its entirely geared around informing the New Guy/Gal about what they are, where to find information about stocks, funds, IRA's, etc...
A Message board for each security that We try to educate visitors on. I would really like this site be an OPEN END site. Meaning that I want to share what I've learned about Online Investing and I want my visitors to share with me what They've learned. PLEASE feel free to Email about a book, magizine, or Web site that you feel really helped you in your quest for knowledge on Online Investing. But Please remember it should be at a beginner's level.
Information about Online Investment Trading Company's. Ameritrade, ETrade, Charles Schwab, and more.
Now comes the part where I need "YOUR" help. As I mentioned eariler "OIC" plans to offer information on a mass of different Securities. I am looking for a few people who are WELL INFORMED on one of the several Securities I mentioned earlier. I'm not looking for experts. I"m looking for people who feel the same way as I do about informing the UNINFORMED public about Online Investing. As the site grows I plan on offering each of the people their own section of this site, in which they can convey their OWN knowledge, answer question, relay information they have gained from others on the specific security there in. Any Books, Sites, and articles relating to each security are more than welcome on this site. I only ask that You've read the material yourself, in order to answer questions on the material. Besides, Practicing what We Preach is always good policy.
There is only one other thing I'd like to ad is that this site is 100% free and totally dedicated to INFORMIING people. There for, there will be no "pay banners" on this site. Any banner that is seen on this site is going to good use. Meaing It will lead people to where They can find more information on Online Investing.
